BlogShare: Joy in the Journey
While hunting around for this and that, and bunny trailing along as I usually do, I stumbled across Joy in Our Journey blog site.
My main notes so far are the great downloads she shares for planning our homeschool year...and her great shares on using The Mystery of History volumes in our schooling. MOH 2 is one of the resources we will draw from this year, so this is a perfect find for us.

BlogShare: Boost for Readers, Word Mastery, American History
Ok, in the technical sense, Boost for Readers is not a blog...it is a website.
It's full of goodies to give a boost to young readers. Pages of word lists, decoding pages, early reader booklets to print as well as 1st grade reader booklets. There are a lot of useful things there. We use the spelling lists alot with young readers here.
Along the same lines, Word Mastery is good program for teaching reading, and it's free :o) In fact, Don Potter has an excellent collection within his Education Pages worth checking out (and printing!).
And one more favorite of mine -- Mr Donn's History Pages. Obviously, we are looking more into his American History pages right now, but he has several other worth a peek!
Ok, I'm off the computer and back to the task at hand today -- all our Jamestown pages are printed and ready to notebook-up. I need to lay out all these puzzle pieces....POE Jamestown, POE Pilgrims, indian lapbooking and notebooking units, Pilgrim lapbooking units, early 17th - 18th century life units...and figure out how to fit them all together!

Ancients: Resource blog
This looks promising...Dynamic 2 Moms there are several notebooking resources available here I think we might use.
There are several other areas covered at Dynamic 2 Moms as well as Ancient Civilizations...Carnivorous plants, The Rainforest, Daniel Boone...plenty to keep you busy for a while.
She also shares several of her favorite blogs...Just Us/Hebrews 110, Dori Oakes, books from MEIHA, Daily Grammar, and more.

Today's Homeschool Freebie Resource
The blog, Just Us, has shared several notebooking and lapbooking pages. They are featured as today's resource over at Homeschool Freebie of The Day.
We looked through some of their pages and it is certainly a resource I will return to many times. There are some good American Revolution resources shared, with notebook pages, lapbook components, and pages for using Johnny Tremain in your reading.
There are pages on book ideas for studying early American History and Explorers I've already saved for printing.
They even have a Yahoo group...Simply Lapbooks worth checking into.
